Hi everybody,

This posting is a reminder that every pilot who will be acting as PIC
in a glider during the upcoming Panoche Gliderpalooza needs to do, or
have done, the two following things before they will be given a tow by
an HSC towplane:

1) Any pilot acting as PIC in a glider needs to have been issued a
copy of the User Agreement that was entered into between Hollister
Soaring Center LLC and the owner of the Panoche Airstrip on Dec. 1st,
2010. Also, you must have read the Liability Release and Waiver, and
signed and dated three copies of this document. You will keep one of
the copies; HSC will keep a copy; and I will forward to the owner's
representative the third copy.

If you have previously signed the Liability Release and Waiver form in
triplicate, then you need not do it again. But you still need to be
issued the latest User Agreement as there is a section that was added
last year regarding the issue of fire and fire prevention. If you have
previously signed the Waiver, then you have agreed to abide by the
terms of the User Agreement, and this has changed from year-to-year so
you need to have in your possession the latest version.

2) You must have contributed to the "Panoche Access Fee" through HSC.
The average "donation" is around $100, though some pilots have donated
more and some have donated less. There is still a couple hundred
dollars left over in the fund from donations collected since the
owner's representative was paid the fee last December, but we need to
begin contributing to the piggy bank so the Fee can be paid in Dec.
HSC has contributed as much as $300-$400 to the fund each year, but
this year the HSC donation will be less because of financial support
needed for the towplanes. Any donations can be "pledged" at the time
tows are taken during the weekend of Oct. 8th and 9th, and I will add
them to your bill/invoice at the end of the event. (Joy Pierce may be
at Panoche and keeping track of invoices, tows, charges, etc., so you
can talk with her there about donations.)

I will add to this note if/when it seems to be necessary for
clarification.

Happy soaring and flying out of Panoche,
Quest
