Hello, again!

This last Friday night/saturday morning, I worked HK1MW, KA7PUN, and barely missed HB9BQR, all on forty meter CW with my Heat HW-9.  I'm trying to get more activity going.

If anybody knows Gary, K0GLT, I'd like to meet him.  Hey, guys, when do we start getting together again?  The weather is warm enough for it.

Wednesday,  the Kansas City Amateur Television Group got together and operated from a church parking lot.  I worked K9VON with an MFJ Cub.  It was fun.

It would be fun to have a pair of the new Webber try-band kits  and be able to operate on all the bands except twelve and ten meters.

What's this Youkit from Tentec?  And, does anybody have one of the a Norcal forty?  How do you like it?  I might get on six later with an MFJ 9612.  Maybe put up an M-squared nine element on six, just to see how it would fly using ten watts..

Well, I hope to post more stuff as I wear out the old Heath, and think about how to ham on the small and cheap.  Got to go over to Misty Hollow Enterprises and see if they make their frequency standards, so I can do all this.  I just like the old cristal calibrator and ham band only stuff,  I don't have to have special adaptations made.

Bye for Now

Craig, KY0O

Hi Craig!

YouKits is a little Chinese company that makes a really nice KX-1 looking thing.  I know of a few of them around town.  Not sure how it works low vision wise, but it is pretty much like the Elecraft.   Originally you had to buy them direct off of EBay, then TenTec became a distributor for the USA. Smart move on their part.
