Hello everyone, Karol Zadora here. I work for Microsoft on developer tools.

An idea that I have started playing with is using kcp as a building block for developer tooling. More specifically, kcp would be used as for coordination and as an extensibility mechanism to run microservice-style workloads locally, or as a local/remote mix. These workloads include vanilla OS processes, containers, emulators, and services running on external K8s clusters, or in the cloud. A set of CRDs and controllers would facilitate describing these workloads, bringing them up/down, monitoring execution etc.

I would appreciate any thoughts on that, in particular, whether kcp is a good fit, given the project goals and roadmap.

Cheers!
Karol
