Hi everyone,

I wanted to share some news on the kcp project.

Red Hat remains committed to and invested in the Kubernetes community and the ecosystem it enables across the CNCF.  At Red Hat, we’re constantly evaluating our upstream projects and involvement in them to provide the maximum impact and benefit to our customers as well as for our products and services. As we prioritize the near term, the kcp project won’t have our immediate focus.

We firmly believe that the power of open source software comes from the community. After two years of driving exploration here, we’d like to extend an invitation to anyone in the community that wants to continue pushing the project forward. We’ll work with anyone interested to help make that transition happen and will stay tuned to where the broader community takes the project.

If you are interested, please reach out to me, Stefan, or Paul via Slack or email so we can talk more.

Thanks for being a part of the journey so far and we look forward to collaborating with you again in the future.

❤️
Andy
