Dear kcp community,

I'm happy to report that we have just accepted a governance change via PR #3609. This change establishes a GitHub Admin Team to formalize who has administrative permissions on GitHub organizations owned by the kcp project. For details, please check out the PR.

To establish the team, I am proposing that we add the following four maintainers as the initial GitHub Admin Team:

- Dr. Stefan Schimanski (@sttts)

- Mangirdas Judeikis (@mjudeikis)

- Christoph Mewes (@xrstf)

- Sebastian Scheele (@scheeles)

All four have been with the project for a long time and are trusted stewards of the project.

To vote on this, please respond to this email (e.g. with a "+1") if you are a current kcp maintainer. Changes to the GitHub Admin Team require a 2/3 vote from the maintainer council.

Thank you all for voting.

With 4/6 maintainers voting (including me as a +1), this proposal has passed maintainer quorum. I will go ahead and open a PR to kcp-dev/kcp to formalize the initial team members into our MAINTAINERS.md, please ensure that everyone on the list is added as a GitHub org admin in the coming days.
