First Meetup

Topics I'd like to eventually cover (not necessarily all in one night)
- Javascript toolkits (Dojo, jQuery, Prototype, YUI)
- Serverside Javascript (Jaxer, mod_js)
- JS/JSON DBs (Persevere, CouchDB)
- State of JS Engines (Rhino, SpiderMonkey, Tamarin, V8, Squirrelfish, JScript, etc...)
- Hacks & Techniques (AJAX vs Comet, cross-domain proxies, JSONP)

I'd like to get a consistent meetup schedule going, does this mid-month Tuesday @ 6pm routine work/not work for everyone else?

Bump.

We're still on for tomorrow and it's a pretty informal agenda as it
would be a bit too presumptuous for me to plan out presentations when
I'm unfamiliar with the experience and interests of those attending.
I'd just consider this a founders meeting to figure out what KCJUG is
about and plan out future sessions. I'll try to obtain a projector
and I think any sort of presentations people wish to do would be
rather impromptu. I'll be happy to talk about why jQuery is the
greatest thing since sliced bread if anyone wants to dive into the JS
frameworks debate. =D
