Skylla Engineering Ltd is looking to hire a Mid Level Java Developer in support of the following DoD effort.

SUMMARY
Responsible for providing information and technology support for software development and maintenance of personnel, financial and accounting systems to support the mission of the Department of Defense.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Using web development tools like Java and HTML design and produce websites, specifically focusing on presentation layer (user interface). The position is primarily responsible for establishing application workflow (determining how users navigate through the applications), defining content, creation of graphics, and user ergonomics. Additionally, the web designer/developer must consider factors such as information security, website integrity, and download speeds. The candidate must have relevant experience in the following:
• Object Oriented Programming Techniques
• Human-Factors Engineering
• Full Lifecycle Development using Agile Programming techniques
Good written and verbal communication skills are required.
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
• JAVA 1.5 or higher
• JSP
• JDBC
• J2EE
• HTML
• CSS
• JavaScript
• HTTP
• Web services
• XML
• Struts 2.1.x or Spring 3.x
• Presentation layer (JSP, HTML, Java Script)
• Business layer (Server Side Development)
• Data layer (SQL, Stored Procedures, Transactions)
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Mid Level: Masters Degree in related field and 3-5 years of relevant work experience; or a minimum of 9 years of related work experience may substitute for degree requirement.
The applicant should have 5+ years’ experience with the listed technologies in an object-oriented programming environment. Experience with Unified Modeling Language is a must. Experience as a Technical Team Leader is preferred.
REQUIREMENTS:
• US Citizen
• Ability to Obtain a SECRET Security Clearance
• Successful Background Check
• Successful Drug Test
