Speaker: Fred Bloom

Fred Bloom has managed and mentored multiple teams of diverse technical,
skill-level and business backgrounds. He has successfully implemented
and delivered software and system architectures and applications. He is
a proficient developer in many languages including: Java, C++, C, Lisp
and Assembly Language. He has developed on multiple flavors of Unix and
Microsoft operating systems.

Fred holds degrees in Software Engineering and Project Management with
additional studies in Japanese and Psychology. He is Sun Java Certified
and contributed to Sun Microsystems' book "J2EE Core Patterns".

Current projects and activities include:
       - Customer Service Representative account management software
       - Web self service for Banking and the financial industry
       - Decision and Rule based systems
       - Architecture and Development involvement
               - technology modernization projects
       - Activities spanning: client management & technology consulting
               - SOA, Webservices, Security, Persistence mechanisms

Fred holds degrees in Software Engineering and Project Management with
additional studies in Japanese and Psychology.  He is Sun Java Certified.

He is current working as a Managing Technical Architect in consulting.

Fred is well versed in the theory and implementation of Relational
Databases, LDAP directories and software/application security.
