Need someone to do a bit of graphics work

Hello, I am looking for someone to do a couple graphic images for a
website. They are not all that complex for a graphics guru. They will
be going on web pages as well business cards. The graphics produced and
the original files and rights to the work will be owned by me. Ideally,
the files will be produced by tools that are opensource/free for windows
and/or Linux (ex: gimp) and editable as vectors or shapes not just
bitmaps. Output must be suitable for PDF, GIF, JPG, PNG conversion.

Please reply with some examples of your work, the tools used to produce
them and ballpark number of hours work and cost for the items in your
portfolio.

Here's a couple examples of my web design work:

http://karenstolz.com/ (the landing page was about 2 or 3 hours, given I had to scan and tweak the postcards)

http://bartoncountyhistorical.org/ (main graphics about 3 or 4 hours to go through a couple incarnations)

Attached is a new design for my website.

My usual rate is $65/hr. for graphics work. I use Photoshop and Fireworks (CS4/3) but I'm also comfortable with Gimp and Inkscape (for SVG).

I've got a really strong background in graphics/3D graphics. I'd be willing to do a couple of graphics for free for you to determine if we are a good match. I'm working off-site today, but I'll send you a couple examples.  if you already have a solid idea of what you need (sketches, examples, etc), and you simply need some expertise with OSS graphics packages like Gimp/Inkscape, then I think we'd get along quite well. I am not super productive in generating complex original works of art however.
