Dear all students,
I am writing this mail to your with the feeling of 'broken heart'. Yes..all your performance in unit test is disheartening the department and we are unable to progress further in the aspect of giving you 'Complete Education.
Hope you all know that our department is striving the best for making you all 'Quality engineers'. The success of this mission depends only on your academic performance. You may say that you all will put whole efforts in the last moment and you may score well in university examination. Many times we have experienced that last moment rush up preparation may not help you either to score good marks or to clear the paper. Hope you will also agree this fact.
We all know only the 'systematic and regular' preparation will give you confident on what you have learnt and it will help you to present well in the university examination to score good marks. Slip Tests and Unit tests are the tools to help you for this systematic way of preparation.
But your performance in unit test is not up to the mark. Every class produced an average of only 30% of pass, but we are aiming for 75 - 80%. With all your cooperation and involvement and with the grace of God, I strongly believe this is a reachable target.
It is an acceptable fact that there exists a huge gap between your syllabus and the need of the industry. Especially in our field, lot of new technologies are being evolved out very frequently. So the department is taking necessary steps to fill the gap by proving seminar, workshops, guest lectures, internships, industrial visits, in plant training, industry based projects and many more. Having with that motivation, we have started technical clubs for various technologies. But all are inactive because of your poor academic performance.
Students, myself and my team is spending most of the time in doing the analysis of your unit test performance and planning for the remedial actions. It kills most of our precious time and we are unable to plan for any industry based activities and research activities.
Students, kindly understand that the failure of single student will affect the entire system of growth. It is my kind appeal that atleat this time realize yourself for your fault of not having systematic and regular study practice. Do well in the forthcoming slip test, unit test and model examination.
Let us all work together to groom yourselves as whole sum engineers and bring laurels to our department and institution.
