DETAILS OF THE PICTORY (Picture+Story) CONTEST: We cannot stay alien, unaffected and sterile watching the pain of another.   Theme Brief:    This photography contest is to capture the theme “Hidden lives. Hidden patients”. The tendency to go directly and photograph the aged, unwell, and perhaps scenes from a hospital will be extremely strong. We’d like to see you move away from that and interpret the theme differently/positively.    It could be an answer to the question “Did you know?” that is shown through the picture. For example, the joy a caregiver brings to a patient, all this in-spite of the suffering; the satisfaction a caregiver feels when they’re helping the patient; it could be a glimpse of the unimaginable being done by caregivers for their near and dear ones; or it could simply be a patient fulfilling an otherwise easy task (which has become difficult due to the chronic illness). Every little act that brings joy to the ill counts, everyone who can contribute counts. It could be a simple act of a child reading a story for her grandmother.   Do not discount hidden lives of people who bring joy and cheer to an otherwise morbid existence. Focus on the positives, there’s enough negativity otherwise to last through several generations to come.     Picture Specifications/Rules of Participation: It has to be an original shot. Tell us when and where you shot this and give us the specs of the equipment you used.
