Dear HODs

Greetings from Higher Education Cell. 

The Higher Education Cell is hosting an SOP (Statement of Purpose) writing workshop on 11 March 2015 between 1:40 pm and 4:10 pm at the Seminar Hall. The Statement of Purpose (SOP), also called an Application Essay, is required by all colleges and universities abroad.   The admissions committees examine candidates’ statement of purpose closely to see whether the candidates have the right stuff to succeed in grad schools.

 

The workshop session will address the following:

 

·         ABC of writing an effective SOP

·         Common errors made by students

·         Tips and stylistics to writing a good SOP

·         Pointers to write a research statement

·         Essays for an MBA programme

·         How EducationUSA can help students

 

The resource person for the workshop is Ms Aparna Chandrashekaran, Adviser-EducationUSA, United States-India Educational Foundation. 

PFA the circular.  Please get the circular read in all final-year and pre-final-year classes and  email the list of students interested in attending the worksop to me at hr...@kcgcollege.com .  Since the number of students attending the program is limited to fifty, preference will be given to students on the first-come-first-served basis.
