Greetings from the IET!
One of the valuable offerings of the IET is the opportunity to access and make use of the vast resources in its Knowledge base, particularly Inspec and inputs to members who would like to publish internationally through the IET.
With this in mind, one of the key activities planned and agreed with you under our Academic Affiliate contract is to have an Inspec Training and Academic Publishing Workshop for the IET members, who could be both interested students and from the faculty. Following is the brief for the same:
INSPEC Training-
· Will include providing information on importance and use of the Inspec abstract databases for Engineering & technical content search.
· Key Highlights of Inspec database features and value add
· Hands on experience to use Inspec abstract database
Academic Publishing Workshop -
· Inputs on the guidelines on publishing in Technical Journals.
· Query clarifications
· Video based session for publishing guidelines
It will be a half day session at your college or any other convenient location and could have attendance from any of our other Academic Affiliates also. Both the above activities will be delivered by my colleague Mr. Sujan Shekhar, Sales & Training Manager, Knowledge Management and the suggested date for these activities are from any one of the dates: 18th Nov or 19th Nov or 5th Dec or 6th Dec.
I request you to kindly confirm one date and a time which is convenient for your college, in order to accomplish this at the earliest.
