Sub: Invitation for ACM-ICPC Asia Chennai Regional Contest 2015.
We take immense pleasure to inform you that we are hosting the
ACM ICPC ASIA CHENNAI REGIONAL CONTEST - 2015, under the patronage of ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) on 17th October, 2015(online round), followed by the onsite contest on 19th December, 2015.
The ACM-ICPC is a prestigious programming contest that provides college students with opportunities to sharpen and demonstrate their problem-solving, programming, and teamwork skills.
The contest is a two-tiered competition. Teams first compete in regional contests and the winning team from each regional contest advance to the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest World Finals 2016.
CONTEST DATES:
· Preliminary Online contest on 28th October, 2015
· Regional Onsite contest on 17-19th December, 2015
RULES:
· A team should consist of 3 contestants from the same institution.
· The coaches should register the teams from their institution at icpc.baylor.edu/regionals/finder/chennai-india-2015
· Registration for the preliminary online contest closes on 20th October, 2015.
· Registration fee: 500 INR per team (for Online Contest).
· Teams qualifying for the onsite contest should pay a registration fee of INR 2500(Indian Teams) and USD 150(Foreign Teams)
CONTEST FORMAT:
· The preliminary online contest will contest will generally consist of 7-10 problems to be solved within 3-5 hours.
· Teams compete in the preliminary online contest. The team ranking first in every institution will qualify for the regional onsite contest, and the remaining teams will be ranked and will qualify to the onsite contest based on the open ranking and number of slots available.

· First Round (Online)
· Hindustan University, Chennai (Onsite Round)
REGIONAL CONTEST:
Date: 17th __ 19th December, 2015
Venue: Hindustan University, Chennai
Registration fee: INR 2500 for teams selected for the onsite contest.
IMPORTANT DATES:
· Registration closes for preliminary online contest: 20th October, 2015
· Preliminary online contest: 28th October, 2015
· Regional onsite contest: 17th --19th December, 2015
ACCOMMODATION:
· Accommodation will be provided for 2 days during the Onsite contest on 18th & 19th December, 2015.
· Accommodation is inclusive of food & stay.
