HUGE THANKS to all the lads who made the trip and to the AOH for putting this together. Perfect day, great competition and steps forward for the Wolfhounds! Although the score was lopsided in the Hurling match, the hurlers showed HUGE improvements from last year's match in Jeff City. STL has been playing Hurling for quite some time, with large numbers and they have a good machine rolling...We'll be there in a year or two if we keep things up.
The Gaelic match was close (who the hell came up with the no score on balls in between the Cross Bar and the goalpost?) and it was some of the best footie seen by KC in a few years...Many a great individual effort but in the end, the difference seemed to be their familiarity with each other and positioning...Factors gained through time and practice..
Grand craic after the game in Columbia as well with the STL lads and the co-ed viewing was simply...spectacular
Great memories indeed...PLEASE REMEMBER our Convention on Sat Nov 8th at the Irish Center. Well be passing the baton from the old guard to the newly elected guard.
