(Please forward to the club)Dia Dhuit Wolfhounds,
The sights are all set on Twin Cities for the traveling match on the weekend of August 9th!
There will be two matches on
Saturday the 9th, the first being a competitive match against the TC Lakelanders from 11am-12pm at
1225 Jessamine Ave W. St. Paul MN. The second match will be purely casual and 7's style with unlimited subs at the TC Irish fair from 1:30-2:30 at Harriet Island Mississippi National River and Recreation Area Saint Paul, MN 55107.
We will have:
- free access into the festival
- 1 free drink pass
- carpooling services will be available by TC from the competitive match to the public match to bypass the massive parking clusterfuck.
Attached to this document is also a PDF describing the addresses of the pitches and hotel recommendations. I myself will be using AirBnb, and anyone else is welcome to join me in that endeavor. TC is also discussing amongst themselves if any players would be willing to rent their spare rooms to keep our money going directly into their club. The After Hours plans for Saturday are amazing, TC is pulling out all the stops for us! Unlike last time, we will be having both a house party pre-game at one of the club members houses leading to a dual-team takeover of their large irish pub sponsor in downtown St Paul!
Now let's get down to the logistics: rides and rosters. Rides are undetermined as is an official roster. We will all have to obviously leave Friday evening to be up there before midnight, stay the night, wake up, play the games, party, stay the night again, then head back Sunday. So far, the unofficial traveling roster stands at:
- BSJ
- Bill Griffin (casual game only)
- Matt Geary
-
Eric Granneman (casual game only)
- Kevin Winters (flying in Friday night)
- George Vial
- Brendann Northcott
- Brian Sulley
- Andrew Comstock
If you plan on attending and aren't on this list or have any questions, please email billyshay...@gmail.com to rsvp. I need a list of people who would like to volunteer to drive from KC to TC, as well as a comprehensive list on where you'll likely be finding a bunk for the two day stay. We need at least 15 to make this trip a true game against them, and they're just as hungry for competition as we are! Let's do this right lads :D
Slan,
BSJ
