KC FilmFest has one of the movies showing this weekend. The name of movie is “The Final Blade,” made by a Chinese filmmaker from Beijing, Willie Ying. Willie is going to join with the audiences for the showing on Friday night at 6 pm and I will be conducting a Q&A with him after the show. Willie is a veteran stunt performer, having appeared in the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon sequel as well as on the Power Rangers TV show. The film is a modern interpretation of the classic Kung Fu genre and it most recently won best feature in December 2017 from the London Independent Film Awards. Here are the relevant details:
