The Kansas City Chinese Association (KCCA) announces our 2022 KC Moon & Water Lantern Festival. It's the time of the year when we gather as a big community family and celebrate the mid-autumn festival and to keep our tradition going, we will be releasing the beautiful water lanterns again this year! Come join us at Shawnee Mission Park!

Date: Saturday, September 10, 2022

Time: 4:30pm – 8:30pm

Place: Shelter 4 & 3 (around Marina & Dock area) at Shawnee Mission Park

Address: 7900 Renner Rd Lenexa, KS 66219 (West 79th Street and Renner Road in Shawnee)

Activities: Lantern riddle guess, Tai-chi, Dragon and Lion dance, Chinese Medicine, Culture showcases, Outdoor games, Karaoke, Movie, Food, Moon cakes, Launch water lanterns to light the lake.

Event Program 4:30 pm : Registration open 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm : Activities 7:00 pm - 7:30 pm : Design lanterns, Lucky draw 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm : Launch lantern & light the water
