Call for Plays - KCACTF Region III National Playwriting Program (NPP)

Hello KCACTF Region III!
Once again it is my pleasure to share with you this year's call for submissions for the National Playwriting Program (NPP) events at the Region III Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival which will take place January 7-12, 2020 in Madison, Wisconsin.
At the regional level, we accept submissions for student-written work in the following categories:
- Ten-Minute Plays
- One Act Plays
- Full-Length Plays (plays that have NOT been produced or given a rehearsed reading at a college or university in the region)
In addition, if your college or university is producing a new play (written by a student, faculty member or guest artist) then we strongly encourage you to consider submitting it as an Associate or Participating entry in KCACTF. If you do, then the script becomes eligible for a host of national awards, including the David Mark Cohen Award through the Kennedy Center.

This year we are using one Submittable site for all regions of KCACTF. When you visit this page, click on the link for the type of play you are submitting, and then you will be asked to select the region for which you want to be considered. It is very important you select the region where your college or university is located, so please confirm you have selected the correct region before you submit!
The deadline for all regional opportunities (Ten-Minute Plays, One Act Plays, and the Region III Full-Length Award) is November 1, 2019.
If you are submitting work that was produced by your college or university for consideration for the National KCACTF Michael Kanin Playwriting Awards, you can submit work up until December 1, 2019.
If you are submitting a full-length play that you wish to be considered for the Region III Full-Length award, you should submit it using the “Full Length Plays” link. However, only plays submitted on or before November 1st will be considered for this award. Full-length plays submitted after November 1st will still be eligible for
the National KCACTF awards, but not the Region III Full-Length award.
