Last week I dropped another shawl, made by Debra (not this one) out of
that lovely organic cotton. And today, I got a thank you note from
Sr. Annie, who is always generous with her notes!
This is what it said:
"Dear Debra
Thank you so much for the lovely prayer shawl that you created for our
Pioneer Retreat Program. I know this is a gift of love and given by a
most generous, caring heart. The woman who receives this will be
wrapped in great comfort.
Gratefully, Sr. Annie"

You may remember, the Pioneer Retreat program serves women who are
currently residing in domestic violence shelters. I think they are
people who certainly need and deserve kind hugs in the form of shawls.

So keep on knitting--or crocheting! If you are making shawls for
House of Menuha, you can leave them at the Studio with my name (Deb
Connor) and I will see that they are delivered. Be sure to include
your name, care instructions and a special message to the potential
recipient.

Although not the reason we make theses special shawls, the thank yous are
often worth more to us than the shawl to the recipient.

Thanks for sharing, Deb.
