to KC Prayer Shawl Ministry
Dear members of the Studio Prayer Shawl Ministry....

Sr. Annie has 4 prayer shawls in hand that she plans to give to
participants in House of Menuha's next Pioneer Program, which serves
women in domestic violence shelters. The next retreat day for the
Pioneer Program is August 23. Wouldn't it be great if she had just a
few more? So if you have a shawl just about ready to come off of your
needles (or hook for those of us who crochet), spend a few moments
this week during this too-hot-to-be outside-weather to finish them up
and drop them by the Studio (where Deb Connor will pick up and
deliver) or if House of Menuha is closer, drop them by there, 801 East
77th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64131, 816-444-2434. Be sure to
provide information about shawl care and that you are a member of the
Studio Prayer Shawl Ministry, plus any other information who would
like the recipient to know.

The ministry hosts, Deb and Laura Gayle have been busy enhancing our
Google Group site, but we have noticed that many of you have not
registered. Its not that hard! We've added pix of recently delivered
shawls and are starting to include links to favorite shawl patterns of
some of our ministry members. As a special enticement to visit the
group site, there is information about how to get some of that lovely
organic cotton yarn from Andrea at COST! This yarn knits/crochets up
beautifully into the softest, most huggable shawls. You will find
this information on the page named What We Are Making Now-August 2007,
but you have to register first to get on the Google Group site. There
should be links at the bottom of this message to the Google Group --
click on those links, and then follow directions about setting up your
Google Group account and your KC Prayer Shawl e-mail delivery
settings!

If you have any questions about the technical part, please e-mail
Laura Gayle at knitti...@gmail.com. She's going out of town Mon-
Wed, but will get back to you when she returns.

Happy knitting and stay cool!

Deb and Laura Gayle
