Nancy McDonald, fabulous fast knitter, brought in at least three
completed prayer shawls, and Laura Scott fessed up to having had left
quite a few prayer scarves (but they may have been large enough to be
scarf/shawls) on the doorstep of House of Menuha when the big call
went out. Andrea had fabulous hand dyed yarn on display and some
undyed yarn -- Bettie was quick to snatch up some of that!
Thursday, 11 October, Deb will host the Prayer Shawl meeting at the
Studio. I'll be at a Radisson hotel near the Cincinnati OH/Covington,
KY airport at a conference. And Deb will show off the donated yarn
bits that you all can choose from to make a lovely shawl. I pawed
through the bags and came up with various shades of pink, light blue,
etc. to make a shawl -- and if one of you would rather do it up, let
me know and I'll leave the bag at the Studio Wednesday. I'd love to
knit it up, but I don't know if I'll have time in the next couple of
weeks to do it justice.
Hope you all have a lovely week, and Deb is looking forward to seeing
you all (any who can come) on Thursday night!
cheers-
laura
