Hello all:

Councillors for Dewsbury East & Dewsbury South and contacts for Kirklees’ Public meeting on Cycling, “SpokesPeople”,

Further to the Opening Event for Phase 1 of the Dewsbury-Ossett Greenway on 28 July, please find attached the press article & photos which featured in last week’s “Dewsbury Reporter”.

If you have not seen the route, I would encourage you to go down and explore the new link. You can access the route on foot or by bicycle from Sands Lane Playing Fields (off Railway Street, Dewsbury) or from the towpath of the Dewsbury Cut a little way down from Savile Town Canal Wharf. Access from Preston Street, Earlsheaton is by foot only at this stage as the surfacing of this link will be part of Phase 2 works.
