WCPA is urgently seeking nominations for Regional Vice Chairs for East and South Africa as well as for Central and West Africa.  I am hoping you could share this with your networks or with specific people you feel will be good candidates for the position. It is a really important position that helps integrate regional priorities into the IUCN/WCPA core mandate and support regional implementation of the IUCN Resolutions relevant to the work of the WCPA. The closing date is officially today but the search will continue until suitable candidates are identified.

CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST IUCN WCPA Regional Vice Chairs

 

Dear WCPA members, At the beginning of the new quadrennium, we have an opportunity to refresh the governance structures of our Commission. The Regional Vice-Chairs of the IUCN WCPA support the Office of the Chair of the WCPA to facilitate efficient engagement and communication between relevant WCPA Specialist Group Chairs and members, IUCN members, and national and regional WCPA initiatives.  With the aim of creating a transparent, open and accessible process, I am pleased to share with you (i) a Call for Expressions of Interest and (ii) The Terms of Reference for the Regional Vice Chair position of the WCPA.  The deadline for submissions of Expressions of Interest to Erinn Drage erinn...@wcpa.iucn.org is Friday October 29th. Chers membres de la CMAP  Au début de la nouvelle période quadriennale, nous avons l'occasion de rafraîchir les structures de gouvernance de notre Commission. Les Vice-présidents régionaux de la CMAP de l'UICN soutiennent le Bureau de la Présidente de la CMAP en facilitant un engagement et une communication efficaces entre les Présidents et membres des Groupes de spécialistes de la CMAP, les membres de l'UICN et les initiatives nationales et régionales de la CMAP.  Dans le but de créer un processus transparent, ouvert et accessible, j'ai le plaisir de partager avec vous (i) un appel à manifestation d'intérêt et (ii) les termes de référence pour le poste de Vice-président régional de la CMAP. Estimados miembros de la CMAP  Al comienzo del nuevo cuatrienio, tenemos la oportunidad de refrescar las estructuras de gobernanza de nuestra Comisión. Los Vicepresidentes Regionales de la CMAP de la UICN apoyan a la Oficina de la Presidencia de la CMAP para facilitar el compromiso y la comunicación eficientes entre los Presidentes y miembros de los Grupos de Especialistas de la CMAP, los miembros de la UICN y las iniciativas nacionales y regionales de la CMAP.  Con el objetivo de crear un proceso transparente, abierto y accesible, me complace compartir con ustedes (i) una Convocatoria de Expresiones de Interés y (ii) los términos de referencia para Vicepresidente(a)s regionales de la CMAP.
