Dear community members,

We invite you to be part of the 19th edition of the KBA Community Newsletter, and to submit your KBA-related updates, news, or lessons learned to share with the global KBA Community of practice and experts.

Please submit your articles in Word format, including a title and author. If a photo is included, please provide the title and credit in the document, and attach the photo/s in JPEG separately.

Please see below the guidance to follow when sending articles.
Maintain a base structure for the articles as follows:
  1. Title
  2. Summary
  3. Highlight or highlights.
  4. Content (body of the article)
Regarding the images, it would be nice to have at least two per article (if we can get more, even better) so we can have image-text balance. Here are some recommendations for those images:
  • Format: PNG or JPG
  • Colour mode: RGB
  • Size: max. 2 megabytes in size
  • Full-Width Images: 2400x1600px
  • Inside content images: horizontal – max width 1500px, vertical – max width 1000px, jpeg
  • Squared images: max. 1600x1600 px

You may submit the article in your preferred language, but we ask you to also translate it into English. Please email your article to Sophia Lucero at sophia...@birdlife.org until August 1, 2025.

Kind regards

Dr Mumthas Yahiya

Dear Ms. Sophia Lucero,

Warm greetings.

I recently came across the invitation to contribute to the 19th edition of the KBA Community Newsletter, and I would like to express my interest in sharing an article for the upcoming publication.

My proposed contribution focuses on a Ramsar Site of ecological importance, highlighting its biodiversity values, conservation significance, and recent community-based initiatives related to its management. I believe this piece would be a meaningful addition to the newsletter and of interest to the wider KBA Community.

Kindly keep me informed regarding the upcoming publication schedule or any additional guidelines for submission. I will prepare the article accordingly and ensure it aligns with the format and requirements mentioned in the announcement.

Thank you very much for the opportunity to contribute and for your continued efforts in connecting the global KBA network.

With best regards,
Dr. Mumthas Yahiya
