I am also facing the same issue after upgrading the phone samsung galaxy note 10+ software imei is not getting detected. Appreciate your help in getting proper help Repair shops are asking for hefty amount

I got a note from Samsung moderator that said that the way to fix my warranty was to call the account team even though I mentioned in my post I called account team 3 times and got no where so to me that is not a solution. But they closed the thread and marked it as a solution. I understand their point so no worries. Again my issue is i bought a watch and couldnt register it. To help other people this is what finally fixed it 98% of the way. Basically samsung website asks for a serial number but when you enter it on the website it does not recognize it. I tried to register through the Samsung member app on my phone. What i noticed was instead of the serial number it registered via the IMEI number instead despite the fact it asks for the serial number. When i use the camera on my phone to take a picture of the bar code on the box it used the IMEI number instead. The reason i said its 98% fixed is they put the wrong start date on the warranty but its off by only 1 week so its close enough at this point.

I am sorry to hear of your difficulties registering the MicroSD card. Unfortunately, SD cards and similar products cannot be registered the same way as phones and watches. For purposes of the warranty, you would need to keep the receipt. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Thanks for care of my problem.i have Samsung glaxy note 5(SM-N920C) and im flashed android 9 custom rom for s6+ and hyperkernel. after flashing them, my phone's imei is gone ,i cant use wifi and phone is not dedectimg SIM.i was try installing random imei but it didnt worked.what should i do? for fix this problem.

Hello all! I have recently bought a lot of samsung smartphones on eBay. They are all Live demo Units. I am aware that there is no baseband in this phone and no IMEI assigned to them so it will never be able to connect to a cellular network but im getting really annoyed with the live demo software and would like to know how to remove it. I would flash with Odin but im on a MacBook Pro so thats not an option.

Same. I know the passwords but they don't do much. I tried to remove it but it comes up with a reset button and if you press it it will factory reset the device but retail mode comes back. passwords - 5444 and M729Q16K8546. And I have a galaxy s8+

It is also possible to install windows on a mac using a method called bootcamp without the need of wiping Mac OS X as it can split the storage drive into separate partitions, one for MAC operating system and the other for Windows operating system.

Password for phones from Sam's Club is "Walton". It works, and although I understand I can't use cellular, this is becoming less of an issue everyday, as I live in a city and everywhere there are hotspots and many apps to take advantage if free WiFi calling and texting. .....BUT...The software demo keeps coming back intrusively. And it won't update the security policy so that popup is a constant problem.

reset after this enable eom unlock in developer options after open download mode install new kernel im using from s6edge plus exynos.tar md5 after this some times you need install new software and you have normal phone just Samsung haelt and Samsung pay apps no works anymore but play store and ewery thing be like normal phone

Also make a note of the IMEI number and Serial Number if you want to flash a working model. Sometimes these can be erased and will need to be flashed afterwards, although I have only encountered one such occasion this was needed from the dozens of phones I have updated firmware on.

6) select each of the BL, AP, CP, and CSC options one at a time from the firmware folder. The AP file could take a while to load depending on your computer configuration, so please be patient. Do not select the CSC HOME option. If you do select the CSC HOME option you will have to flash the device again from step 1 because all your apps and user preferences will not be affected and that means many demo features will not be removed.

7) Start phone in Download mode. Connect cable (It is very important that you make sure it is the original Samsung Cable), then press the volume up key to start Download Mode. (If all is correctly done, the Odin log window should show device is added).

Everything should work as a new device out of the box with the exception of the cellular service. I use mine as a MINI tablet. works great around town on hot spots for Google, Google Maps, Skype, Whats App, Facebook messenger etc..

Regardless, if you disable factory reset using the aforementioned passwords, delete the hidden files, go back to main menu and disable content protection then go to settings/apps/special access (under the menu at top right)/ device administrators you can can uncheck the retail mode app and deactivate that way.

I have a j36 and booting in safe mode, I then sign into play store to download apps that won't work in safe mode yet, and enter settings to disable any thing Samsung with storage permission .also I force stop/ disable Knox and retail agent such and such apps, and make a lock pattern reboot to normal for 1 second and remove battery quicklike so retail demo can't start yet,(@ the lock pattern screen, and reboot again to safe mode enter my lock pattern , then amazing!?! Still signed on to play store & in app folder are icons minus the graphics what I then does my self th courtesy of moving to home screens and Bing bang boom the app works , any app . I don't use SIM but my apps work I stay signed in and no screen saver every minute better than I've heard of any one else yet cuz the pswrd don't work for me . And personally on a Rogers phone I put in a telus sim , it asks for a network unlock code, It'll probably accept chatr

You could try jodin/Heimdall, a Java based version of Odin for Mac and Linux, though my experience with it was that it hasn't been updated to reflect the current version of Odin and it never worked properly for me. Probably it would be better to just run Odin for Windows through VirtualBox or parallels desktop, that's been my preferred solution on any reasonably powerful Mac or Linux computer. You just have to make sure USB is configured properly in the virtual machine, there's tutorials about it on the virtual box website, and I'm sure parallels explains the process with that solution on their site too.

If your device is not paid off and unlocked via our carrier unlock service, it will not work on T-Mobile or its prepaid MVNOs, such as Simple, Metro, or Ultra. The same device will work on AT&T or Cricket if the IMEI is supported for AT&T or Cricket or overseas.

Please note that selecting the EDL cable option to perform an unlock or IMEI repair on your device may result in the deletion of all data stored on your phone. Therefore, it is highly recommended that you backup all of your important information before proceeding with this option.

The first week of January I lost my place to stay, ended up in the shelter system here in Toronto and suffered a severe mental health crisis. My Samsung Galaxy S23 device was lost/stolen during this time. After reviewing records, a Telus rep during one of my numerous calls, determined that my last typical usage occurred January 2nd, 2024. Asurion had replaced the original S23 less than a month before painlessly. I kept going online, filling out the same form, uploading my ID etc and would get an automated email the next morning saying "We have some further questions regarding your claim, call this number..." A representative finally disclosed to me that my claim was being rejected because the device was still active. Okay, this made sense, so I got a new SIM and a $60 barely working Galaxy S4 from some cell repair shop and reported the device lost and activated the new sim under my account. My claims continued to be rejected due to the device "being active". A very competent telus tech escalated/reached out to IT and determined the Jan 2nd date and told me that it should go through and it didn't. Another Telus rep said that this was an internal issue and she called Asurion via a backchannel and called me back and said things should be ok.

Asurion reps were much worse to deal with until I finally got a customer care woman who seemed to be based in the US. She actually spent a great deal of time behind the scenes trying to figure out what was going on, calling me back rather than putting me on hold for 20 mins, and she said that the wrong IMEI was coming through on the device claim. She said that the S4 IMEI was getting flagged and that i had to submit ONE LAST CLAIM and just make a note in the text box with a note saying "This is regarding , forward to telus."
