Insha-Allah I will no longer join in the meetings from tomorrow. I pray that Allah grant us success in our ventures to help our fellow KAyalites.
It has been an honour to work with such dedicated people.
I have put some final suggestions below, please discuss them in your meeting; some were left over from the last meeting.
2 Issues I would like to bring to people's attention
1. It is important we have a broad vision for shifa, which includes all health related activities in Kayal.
2/ We need to decide upon the role of the VP and their term. If there are 2 , how will they work? As I have said before , it is very important to have a member of the honorary team in Kayal to acheive more. Instead of a Local Officer, like I suggested, I would suggest one VP be based in Kayal and one overseas. Their term should be decided ( suggest 1 year) and I would suggest we vote for whole Honorary team once a year.
VPs do not automatically qualify for President but can stand for election at next vote for President.

2.2 Vision - Improve the health of kayalites by means of:
- Providing funds for medical care.
- Minimising costs and negotiating discounts with healthcare providers
- Providing education on healthy living
- Arranging awareness and screening campaigns.
- Increasing access to funds and resources available on a local, national and international level.
- Conducting research into prevalence of disease in Kayal (eg CFFC).
ie, all health related activities should come under SHIFA....this should include activities of CFFC and research, which should be co-ordinated with SHIFA.
6.0 Honorary team:
It is very important to have a member of Honorary team based in Kayal. This would allow more work to be acheived.
Can we consider a 1 year presidency to allow others to get involved?
What about VPs? Would they become President after a term or do we vote for new HT completely? This can be discussed by ET at next formal meeting.
I would suggest of the two VPs, one should be based in Kayal and one overseas. What is their term...1 year or two years?
8.1 Medical team:
I would suggest there is no need for the alternative medical team. Let it all be under one title...Medical team.
I would suggest fund raising as follows:
all applications come to admin officer.
Any applications which come to KWAs should be redirected to AO.
Once vetted, AO will pass to medical team and if they authorise the claim, it is posted on microkayal, who will forward to all KWAs.
Each KWA can then decide how much to contribute and contribute.
If funds required are not met from KWAs within a timeframe, Microkayal will request individual donations from its members to make up outstanding remaining funds required.
