Lead Credit Developer Analyst position



Company

Highly competitive International Hedge Fund in Dallas, Texas with a
track record of excellence is specifically looking to re-locate
finance/technology talent from NYC.



Skills and experience required:

· 10+ years experience as developer and business analyst working
directly with front office users in credit and risk areas (corporate
debt, CDS, CDX, LCDS, loans, structured credit, CLO, convertibles)

· Excellent understanding of products, business, business
processes, and relevant pricing models, their inputs and outputs
(credit sensitivities, JTD, spread delta, spread gamma, OAS, hazard
rate, forward rate, discount curve, NPV, Monte Carlo, VaR, P&L, MTM)

· Excellent hands-on complete development lifecycle skills
(.NET, SQL, VBA, Excel)

· Excellent creativity, problem solving, issue-resolution, and
people skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills that non-
technical end users can understand

· Minimum 4-year technical degree at leading university

Pluses:

· Experience with Bloomberg API & Data License, Markit, Markit
RED, Markit Quotes, Intex, Perl, CMA Quote Vision, Fitch, CDS curves,
Relative Value, Cap Structure Arb, Basis trades



Overview

Senior hands-on developer analyst will play a lead role in building
out best in class technology platform for all credit strategies.
Responsibilities and expectations include:

· Work with traders, analysts, portfolio managers, risk
managers and supporting teams to gather, interpret, and analyze
requirements and businesses

· Propose solutions to IT management that will provide superior
value and competitive advantage

· Design, develop, integrate, test, document, and support all
solutions according to firm’s development process

· Work with and explore technology and data partners/vendors/
providers to build and maximize competitive advantage

· Deliver accurate, successful, and timely solutions

· Quickly ramp-up on details of existing IT platform, products,
businesses, and business processes

· Coordinate with technology team to ensure consistency of
designs

· Mentor junior and mid-level developers as appropriate or as
assigned

· Actively report status to all appropriate users, peers, and
IT management

· Recommend general process and platform improvements to IT
management

· Build strong positive relationships and rapport with all
users, team members, supervisors, 3rd party vendors, partners, and
providers

· Display alacrity and leadership in work ethic, drive for
excellence, teamwork, and communication
