Fuel Tap

Hi, my ER5 failed it's MOT last week due to a slight leak on the
petrol tap of all things. I ordered a repair kit which evenyually
arrived, just gone to fit it and it's the wrong one! A quick check on
ebay shows a fuel tap from a C model listed, my bike is an A2.
Question is does anyone know if a C model fuel tap will fit an A model
bike, I know the repair kits are different so there must be a
difference in the tap but are the mounts the same?

They look to be the same mounts on the two microfiches but it's impossible
to be sure.
I'd guess that they are the same.

The mounting bolts are the same for both taps.

Thanks for the info Simon, unfortunately I didn't get to bid on the
tap. I've ordered a new tap from the main dealer 41 + VAT, more than a
repair kit, but then they don't fit, hopefully I'll be back on the
road this week.
