Hey all,
I had a hard time getting the ReSharper 9.1 version of the command line tools to work. I’m sharing my insights in this mail to save you all from the hassles.
Unfortunately, the current version is not available in Chocolatey, so we have to install it manually. Just follow these simple install instructions:
1) Uninstall the old installation (via chocolatey)
2) Head to [1] and download the current version.
!!!!!!!!!!!
3) Unblock the ZIP! (Right-click -> Properties -> “This file came from another…”)
If you do not unblock it, you will receive the strangest DLL loading exceptions later…
!!!!!!!!!!!
4) Unzip the file to a folder of your choice
5) Include this folder in your %PATH% variable
6) Start a new command line and enter “inspectcode.exe”
You should see the version number of the CLT now and an error stating that you did not specify the solution. The output should not include anything else. If this is the case then you know that it worked. :)
best
Sebastian
