Aloha everyone,
It is with a broken heart and great sadness that I send this announcement to you. As you know (and even if you don't) the Covid situation in Hawaii has gotten out of control the last couple of months. Our daily numbers are the highest it's ever been, all hospitals are at full capacity due to covid, and our daily new case numbers are not going down. I was hopeful that the numbers would go down in a month's time but they have not. The Hawaii Line Dance Festival (HLDF) committee, as well as the Kauai Veterans Center committee, have decided to cancel this year's HLDF. We care about the safety and wellbeing of each attendee and felt this action was necessary.
Those that have purchased HLDF passes have 3 options available:
1) Roll your pass over to the next scheduled Hawaii Line Dance Festival. Dates are TBA and your pass is protected from any rise in ticket prices.
2) Donate the cost of your pass to help recover expenses already paid out. Or to help out with expenses for the next HLDF. You will have to buy a new pass for the next HLDF.
3) Get a refund for the amount of the pass (service fee is non-refundable).
If you purchased a Weekend Pass, you paid $48.24 which included a non-refundable service fee from our ticketing company. The face value of the Weekend pass is $45.00. You would be refunded the $45.00.
Please send an email to
hl...@hawaii.rr.com informing us of the names, and what option you are choosing. You have until November 30, 2021 to inform us of your option. After that date, it will be assumed you chose option 2.
If you purchased HLDF T-shirts, you will be refunded minus any electronic payment processing fees (if you paid electronically).
Thank you all for your understanding and we look forward to planning another HLDF in the future.
Mahalo,
Jeffrey Callejo Jr.
