Aloha line dancers of Hawaii and beyond. I hope you all are doing well. First things first. Regarding the Vegas Dance Explosion (VDE). I know many of you had expressed how bad you felt and how sorry you were about not attending this year's VDE. I wanted to let you all know that they have given me the opportunity to postpone my teaching slot to next year's VDE and I so graciously accepted that option. So I will be teaching at next year's event and not going this year. YAY!

Second, I would like to announce that the next Hawaii Line Dance Festival (HLDF) dates have been secured and will commence October 1 & 2, 2021. Kat Painter and Joanne Brady both have agreed to be a part of this event and we welcome them with open arms once again. The event will take place at the Kauai Veteran's Center just like last year (and what would have been this year as well). I know it's very early however I wanted to get the word out as soon as possible. We don't know what the CDC guidelines will be at the time of the event and if there is a maximum limit per square footage, it's best to secure your pass early to ensure your spot at the event. If there is a maximum capacity limit imposed, passes will then fall under a first come first-served basis. Each purchase is timestamped with a date, time, and name. The first set number of people up to the maximum capacity will be allowed to attend the event. Everyone else would be refunded. Lastly, I have heard that some classes around the state have started up however I am not at liberty to post them here as I have not been directly contacted. So instructors, if you have started up classes do let me know if you would like them posted here in the newsletter. I personally will not be doing any lessons for the remainder of the year. I may do a YouTube live lesson once in a while, but I have put back my living room and don't want to dismantle it again ha ha! Also below is the current flyer for the HLDF. I didn't have time to make a new one so the old one will have to do for now. I will update the list of instructors on the flyer as I confirm more instructors. Until then everyone stay safe, healthy, and most of all KEEP DANCING!
