Aloha line dancers of Hawaii and beyond. I hope you all had a wonderful April! A few Hawaii dancers made it to the H.O.T Heart of Texas Line Dance Event last week! We had a blast! Although it’s smaller in scale from the Vegas Dance Explosion, it was just as fun and just as busy! 5 ballrooms of workshops every hour, nightly open dances in 2 ballrooms. The Saturday night dinner/show was amazing! We made some new friendships and got to hang out with some dance friends we already knew. Overall it was a great event and I highly recommend this event! Sadly I did not take to many pictures. Down below are just some of the few shots I took.
Things are moving for the HLDF & Craft Fair! We are 138 days out before the event and it will be here before we know it! Prices at the door will be much higher than what it is online. We still have some vendor spots available. Be sure to purchase your passes soon. If you are a vendor or know a vendor who might want to be a part of this years craft fair, please have them contact Roberta at hldfcr...@gmail.com for a vendor application or for more information.
Our website hosts the list of open dances likely to be played at the HLDF. Click here to view the list, if there are any changes or updates, this list is updated in real time. So know that when you are viewing it, it is the latest version. The dance title serves as a link to the stepsheet and/or video. Please be advised that this list is subject to change at anytime.
We have 3 new dances coming from Kauai released this month. No Sympathy a beginner level line dance, T Shirt an improver level line dance both choreographed by myself, and What If I Never Get Over You an improver level line dance choreographed by Sherry Olkonen. Be sure to check them out!
When searching for travel arrangements, be sure to include Mokihana Travel Service at 808-245-5338 to help book your air, hotel, and car for the HLDF! They can offer Inter-Island airfare on Hawaiian Airlines which is fully refundable up to 7 days before your departure and also includes 2 free checked luggage. Be sure to mention the Hawaii Line Dance Festival when inquiring for price quotes! They can also quote other travel arrangements as well. Give them a try, it never hurts to shop around!
