Samaritan's Purse is responding to the flooding in Missouri and we need your help!!!
Good afternoon everyone. As you know, our volunteers are very important to us and we like keeping you informed of what we are responding to. Therefore, we wanted to let you know what the situation is (as of right now) in MO and ways you can help.
We currently have boots on the ground in Piedmont, MO and we are continuing our assessment of the situation there. Our disaster relief units will be heading that way shortly. What we need now are volunteers that can respond quickly. We have secured housing at a church in Piedmont, and will be ready for volunteers to start arriving on Monday afternoon, March 31st. Work will begin on Tuesday morning, April 1st. Volunteers are responsible for all of their transportation, and we will provide your housing, meals and work supplies.
The work we will be doing is "mud-outs" and it is hard work. For those of you that have helped us with that before, you know what I am talking about. For those of you that haven't had the opportunity.....NOW IS YOUR CHANCE. The residents of Piedmont, MO need our help.
