Kenya's current antics and theatrics on the global stage--continue to amuse. Hardly any has had any meaningful result. The answer is simple and very obvious. The country has never made the slightest effort to address the desire for justice by those who suffered during the events of 200/2008. So--ours is to watch as the drama moves to the Rome Statute, Conference of State Parties.

Obsessed with theatrics, I hear Jubilee MPs are contemplating an appeal against UNSC decision.  Can someone help save them from self destruction?

Once I had a mad man in some remote market shouting to all who cared that he was not mad. He pitched tents everywhere, going door to door to convince those who dared listen, and even those who cared less about his madness, that he was not mad. A psychiatric house that he considered one of the audiences to convince about his non-madness helped him re-discover himself and brought him back to reality. By that time, everyone, mad like him and not-mad unlike him, within and with-out the market, closer home and far and wide, had got to know that there was a truly one legendary mad mad mad man of the market

The ongoing theatrics narrative of demonising the victims of PEV , and glorifying  the indictees leaves a bad taste in the mouth of any self respecting human being.

It would have been much easier to assemble all the family members of those killed in one location and deal with them directly and then assemble the displaced and ensure they are back to their homes and properties.

The fact that a displaced person cannot return to her home for fear of being gang raped and murdered by her the neighbours , entrenches an unacceptable culture of impunity.

And the indictees , shouting  themselves hoarse ,mat the International fora such as the UNSC , AU , ASPs and the ICC , without first with dealing with their own brothers and sisters at home whom they have hurt , is ill advised.

The core issue are the victims of PEV and this remains unresolved.

And--I can be quoted for saying this, until and when what you mentioned below is done--forget about all the hopeless and pretentious shouting on the rooftops about deferrals--and whatever. When you descend to power on the basis of a lie--be ready to come down on the same basis. Remember--one Richard Nixon?
