We are so excited to invite you to an intimate conversation with renowned scriptwriter, Bhavani Iyer!  

Bhavani is in Nepal for Go Tell It To The Mountain, an intensive scriptwriting workshop for Nepali feature film writers, from 17-20 March. The workshop is organized by Shikshya Foundation Nepal and KathaSatha.

But we couldn’t let Bhavani leave Nepal without sharing her experiences as the writer of some of our favorite Bollywood movies! Bhavani Iyer will share some of her writing and craft wisdom through this public talk program. Don’t miss this free conversation that is sure to be a one-of-a-kind masterclass in writing.

About Bhavani

Bhavani Iyer is a multi award winning screenwriter of landmark films like Black (2005), Guzaarish (2010), Lootera (2013), Raazi (2018), Sam Bahadur (2023) and web series Kaafir (2019), Breathe: Into the Shadows (2020), The Empire (2021). She is one of the most respected screenwriters of Indian cinema.

Her upcoming films are: ’Kamal Aur Meena’ for SaReGaMa Films by Siddharth P. Malhotra. ‘Lohri’ for Reel Life Films (Producers : Salman Khan- Atul Agnihotri) by Meghna Gulzar. ‘Junoon’ For Ishtaa Films (Producer : Suchchanda Chatterjee) & Jio Studios. ‘Akbar Birbal’ for Phantom Films (Producer: Shrishti Behl and Madhu Mantena). ‘Maharani Gayatri Devi’ for In10 Entertainment & Jio Studios. ‘Rana’ for Matargashti Films by Shree Narayan Singh.

Bhavani also mentors at various screenwriting labs, and teaches at various institutes in India and abroad.
