Pre-monsoon Hiking from Godavari to Phulchowki on coming Saturday (June 11, 2011)

Dear all, 

I would like to invite you to join in Pre-monsoon Hiking from Godavari to Phulchowki on coming Saturday (June 11, 2011).

 

Phulchoki Hiking  is perhaps the most fascinating wilderness exploration trip around Kathmandu valley. Trek to Godavari lies at the foot of Phulchoki and provides access to Nepal’s famous Botanical garden. Because of the prominence of varieties of birds in Godavari Phulchoki trek area, this trail is also commonly known as the Bird watching trekking trail in Nepal. Situated at 2,762 m Phulchoki is the highest of peaks ringing the Kathmandu valley with the magnificent view of the Himalayan ranges and the velley. Godavari Phulchoki hiking offers rich flora and fauna.

 

Meeting Venues and time: Gathering at Satdobato, Lalitput  7:00 or Godavari  Botanical Garden  gate (7 :30 am) sharp.  There is parking facility in Godavari Garden gate  if you come by own vehicle. Or you can get microbus bus from Satdovato to Godavari.

 

Tentative Time: It takes 4 hours from Godavari to Phulchowki hill. After making a few detours here and there, we can come down following the same trail to Godawari within two and half hours.

 

 Remember to bring:  Packing food/Fruits, Water bottles, Raincoat/Umbrella, Camera, Binocular, Comfortable Boot, Hat, Sun cream etc.  This is the eco-friendly hiking so please choose your stuffs environmental friendly to leave less ecological foot print.
