Hi everyone,

Today’s release notes contain an interesting addition to Kasabi’s dataset pages and improvements to the services, and a change to the site's address.

New Address We've moved the beta from our address to the logo! So, the full site is now up and running on http://kasabi.com.

Dataset report cards Each dataset page now shows high-level composition of the data, giving a picture of what’s in a set at a glance. You can see, for example, that the Government Art Collection is 83% creative works.

Faster reconciliation The reconciliation APIs have been boosted using parallelised queries.

Bug fixes

  • better handling of sample data pages when dataset doesn’t contain any types (e.g. for linksets).
  • better handling of date/time exceptions on the dataset void pages when last updated date is unavailable.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

This is a great feature :)

Can I make a suggestion, that the percentages (in brackets when you
mouseover a bar in the report card bar chart) are removed, as I think
they're a little counter-intuitive. For example, check out the MOT
Testing Stations data set
<http://kasabi.com/dataset/mot-testing-stations> where all resources
are listed as an Organisation and a Place (we'll skip over the
semantics of this) but the bar chart (and text in mouseover) shows
50%. Of course this is right if you're counting the number of rdf:type
triples, but not if you're counting the number of resources. Perhaps
showing both bar charts as 100% and using text such as "20408 Places
(from a total of 20408 Resources)" would give a more accurate
impression?

HTH,

Tom.
