Dear Amma's Children,
Jai Karunamayi!
Jai Sairam!

On February 26, with the grace and blessing of Amma, we had our monthly Narayana Seva at My Sister's House on Howell Mill Road, Atlanta, a shelter serving women and children, and the restoration house.

We prepared meals to serve about 350 women and children who live in these two shelters. The dinner consisted of vegetarian chili, delicious vegetarian pasta, macaroni and cheese for the kids, healthy green salad, dinner rolls, and bananas.

Also in memory of our beloved Raj Dixit we distributed cupcakes to all the residents.  They offered their heartfelt condolences to the team and to Sujaya on this irreparable loss.

Several of Amma's devotees make this dinner service possible.   Alexander Balick, Phani Tummala, and Sridaran made monetary contributions towards the dinner service and many others have been making recurring monthly contributions to enable us to do this important community service. Jaishree and Seema made the colorful salad, and Anup brought them to the shelter; Carol made everyone's favorite Mac&Cheese and delivered it to the shelter; Kala (with delivery help from Tom) and Sundray (with supplies partly provided by Devi) made the veggie pasta; Vasanthi and Kishore made the veggie 3-bean chili (with all the supplies provided by Shanmugam and Uma); an anonymous donor provided the bananas; Anup bought the cupcakes to honor our beloved Raj.

It was in-person service this month as this will be the norm going forward.  Sundray, Maharash, Janardana, Sadie (a volunteer), and I were on hand at the shelter to serve hot dinner to the residents and the children.  It was a great dinner service and having all the help made it possible to keep the line moving.  It is a tight time window for serving two batches of back-to-back dinner service (one for the adult women, and one for the mother and children).  So at least 5 people are needed to make the service swift and efficient.  The residents loved all the food that was made with so much love by Amma's devotees.
