Through your contributions, Amma's mission to provide free medical care, free education, free housing, and clean drinking water to over 350 villages is realized. We also extend our warm Sharan Navaratri Greetings to you! This year's Navaratri Grand Celebrations will be held from September 25 (Padyami) - October 3 (Vijaya Dasami day) at our beloved Amma's earthly home, the Manidweepa Maha Samsthanam, Penusila Kshetram, India. Every moment of these nine days is dedicated to worshiping the Divine Mother and is a golden opportunity to bathe in Her Grace. From the early morning hours, Apoorva Nithya Abhiskkhas followed by Nitya Sri Lalita Sahasranama Samoohika Kumkum Archanas are performed within the ashram's Sri Lalita Parameswari Devi Temple. The evenings at the ashram are no less grand as they offer Sri Lalithambika Devi Pallaki Seva, Vahana Seva, Uyyalla Seva, Veda Blessings, Maha Mangala Harathi and Prasad Viniyogam.
Exceptionally powerful and special Homas (sacred fire ceremonies) are also performed daily during Navaratri-Chandi Homa (for wealth and victory), Ayushya Homa (for longevity), Nakshatra Homa (for your birth star), Sri Maha Saraswati Devi Swetha Kamala Homa (specifically for students), and the Sri Maha Ganesha One Hundred Thousand Moduka Maha Homa (during which 100,000 of Ganesha's favorite treats are individually offered to Him, ensuring the removal of all obstacles and granting success in your endeavors). In addition, to honor this year's completion of 200 Crores of recitations of Sri Lalita Sahasranama, an extraordinary puja and homa with red lotuses will be performed. The chance to participate in this 200 Crores Jaganmata Homa is attained only with the merits of positive actions performed over millions of births.
The culmination and finale of these events is Vijaya Dasami, the day of victory, and the Birthday of our beloved Amma Sri Karunamayi - a day celebrated by feeding the needy, the Sri Chandi Homa and worship of Amma's Divine Lotus Feet, the Sri Pada Puja.
Divine Mother has been praised as Akilandakoti Brahmandanayaki, Manidweepa Maharagni; dwelling in the Island of jewels, She is the One, Supreme ruler of the infinite number of Universes. When Divine Mother is invoked She brings mountains of support, eliminating the karmic bondages from our previous births. The doshas (negative planetary influences) from which we suffer are annihilated by Her grace and compassion. The cosmic energy from the Navaratri ceremonies which which envelops the sponsors and participants, not only acts as a protective shield against any negativity, but also bestows on them peace, health, spiritual evolution, good fortune, and all kinds of wealth and auspiciousness.
