Dear friends,

We would like to warmly invite you to the first, of hopefully many to
come, Japathon in Scotland. Please join us for this special ocassion
and experience the bliss of chanting on the beads in association of
others. You are welcome to join at any time from 4.30AM-7PM and stay
as long as you like. Satvik lunch prasadam will be served. The event
will then culminate at 7pm with ecstatic Gaura Arati Kirtan followed
with evening prasadam.

What is Japathon, you may ask?
The mind is always busy: it is more difficult to control than the
raging wind. Meditation and yoga help us rise above the mind’s
chatter. What we meditate on now creates our future life. Mantra
meditation is what the timeless writings of the Vedas prescribe for
this day and age. The most highly recommended mantra is the
Maha-Mantra or the “great chant” to free the mind. Mantra meditation
is presently experiencing a worldwide renaissance. In fact, currently
there’s a transcendental sonic tidal wave sweeping the world.

Japa is mantra meditation on beads. Beads help for concentration. We
invite everyone to chant the Maha-Mantra on the beads as much as they
can - be it 1 or 50 extra rounds. Even if you have never chanted
before - it will be an amazing experience. If you have chanted before
- then our daily chanting will become a breeze.

This JAPATHON of the Maha-Mantra is dedicated to the spiritual
well-being of all including your loved ones and for our personal
individual purification. In order to spread peace in the world - first
we need to become peaceful ourselves. Then we have something of great
value to give. It is for the transcendental benefit of the living
entities in Scotland and North of England that we offer this
Nama-yajna (sacrifice of chanting the Holy Names) for the pleasure of
the Lord.

If you can - please bring your Japa beads with you. If you can't -
there will be extra Japa beads available.

Everyone can come and chant as many rounds as possible, and register
the number of rounds chanted at the Japa Table. The total number of
holy names chanted will be offered collectively to Lord Caitanya.

Looking forward to seeing you soon. Bring your friends relatives, and
loved one's.
This event is children friendly and we have a creche on site.

Below are some benefits of chanting Maha-Mantra on beads:

* Chanting the Maha-Mantra brings liberation as a side benefit along the way.

* When you chant the Maha-Mantra, you automatically develop knowledge
and detachment.

* Chanting the Maha-Mantra gets you out of the endless cycle of birth and death.

* It is the most effective means of self-realization in the present
Age of Quarrel. Nothing else works nearly as well.

misunderstandings.

* By chanting the Maha-Mantra, you become free from all anxieties.

* Chanting the Maha-Mantra brings you to self-realization—and shows
you how to act as a self-realized soul.

* It keeps you ever mindful of Krishna, the reservoir of pleasure.

* There are no hard and fast rules for chanting. You can chant
anywhere, any time, under any circumstances.

* Krishna Himself is fully present in the transcendental sound of His
name. And the more you chant, the more you realize it.

* All other Vedic mantras are included in the chanting of the
Maha-Mantra. So just by chanting this mantra, you get the benefit of
all others.

* Chanting the Maha-Mantra purifies not only you but every living
entity around you. Whoever hears the chanting gets spiritual benefit.

* A person who chants the Maha-Mantra develops all good qualities.

* You can chant the Maha-Mantra softly for personal meditation or
loudly with your family or friends. Both ways work.

* Srila Prabhupada chanted the Maha-Mantra, and so did great souls in
the past. So why not you?

* It’s free. Chanting the Maha-Mantra never costs you money.

* Chanting the Maha-Mantra brings the highest states of ecstasy.

* There are no previous qualifications needed for chanting the
Maha-Mantra. Young or old, anyone can chant—from any race, any
religion, or any country of the world.

* Even if you don’t understand the language of the mantra, it works anyway.

* Chanting the Maha-Mantra brings relief from all miseries.

* Chanting the Maha-Mantra is easy. When the best way is also the
easiest, why make life hard for yourself?

those around you.

* By chanting the Maha-Mantra you can return to Krishna’s world, the
eternal abode of full happiness and knowledge.

* Chanting the Maha-Mantra frees you from the reactions of all past
karma. Chanting Krishna’s name even once, purely and sincerely, can
free you from the reactions of more karma than you could possibly
incur.

* Chanting the Maha-Mantra counteracts the sinful atmosphere of
Kali-yuga, the present Age of Hypocrisy and Quarrel.

* By chanting the Maha-Mantra you can relish at every step the full
nectar that’s the real thirst of the soul.

* The more you chant the Maha-Mantra, the better it gets.

* If you look through all the Vedic scriptures, you’ll find nothing
higher than the chanting of the Maha-Mantra.

Yours sincerely,
Karuna Bhavan
