Dear friends and prabhus,

I hope you are well. I would like to eagerly invite you to Gaura Purnima festival on Saturday 30th March to celebrate the wonderful appearance of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu, the most merciful avatar of Divine Love. We hope you will be able to come and join us to make this a joyful festival to remember, the more people who come and participate, the louder and more powerful the kirtan will resound.

Lord Caitanya is Krishna Himself, who appeared as a devotee to teach us how to love and serve, especially through the sublime process of chanting Maha-Mantra. He gave a very simple formula by which we can revive our dormant Krishna consciousness: chanting, dancing and feasting.  This is the easiest and most effective way to achieve spiritual success in the present age of quarrel and hypocrisy.  He also taught us to spread this Krishna consciousness movement to every town and village and in this way, increase the ocean of transcendental bliss.

To this end, we will be congregating first in George Square, Glasgow City Centre at 12pm for an ecstatic Maha Harinam (street chanting), so please join us and bring your dancing shoes!

After the Harinam we will be holding a grand festival back at the temple beginning at 4pm including lots of kirtans, bhajans, arati and a sumptuous feast.  Please come and bring your friends, the more the merrier. Lets make this the biggest and best yet. Gouranga!

For overnight accommodation please email goura...@gmail.com

For the directions to the temple please visit www.iskconscotland.com.

I look forward to seeing you soon,

Prabhupada Prana das
(ISKCON Scotland president)
