Dear Friends and Prabhus,

We would like to warmly invite you to two special public festivals at
Karuna Bhavan (GarnGour Road, Lesmahagow, ML11 0HQ) this month. The
festivals will include Bhajans, Kirtans, Stories, timeless Wisdom and
delicious feast. For directions to Karuna Bhavan please visit

1. Event: Sri Ram Navami festival
Date: Sunday, 21st April
Time: 2pm-5pm

The Rama Navami celebration observes the birth of Lord Rama. Lord
Rama is an incarnation of the Supreme Lord who appeared on this earth
several millennia ago. During His activities while on Earth, Lord Rama
demonstrated high moral values and acted as the perfect son, student,
brother, husband and King. His extraordinary adventure is
marvellously depicted in the famous epic - The Ramayana.

2. Event: Karuna Bhavan Deity festival
Date: Sunday, 28th April
Time: 2pm-5pm

The purpose of this festival is to thank Lord Caitanya and Lord
Nityananda for making a very wonderful appearance at Karuna Bhavan in
their Deity forms of Sri Sri Khoda Nitai - Mayapur Sasi. (An
appearance which They orchestrated in the spring of 1996.) By Their
mercy we have the opportunity to increase the quality of our
devotional offerings to the Supreme Lord via the multifaceted process
of Deity worship. They were the first Gaura-Nitai Deities to be
crafted by ISKCON devotees under the guidance of Srila Prabhupada. He
and his disciples worshipped them for many years in San Francisco
before They made Their transatlantic crossing to the Firth of Clyde.
On the occasion of Sri Rama Navami in 1996 They arrived in Lesmahagow.

I look forward to seeing you on this auspicious occasion.

Yours sincerely,
Prabhupada Prana das
ISKCON Scotland president
