We would like to warmly invite you to a special Indian classical dance Bharat Natyam workshop with an expert teacher Chamu all the way from Madras - South India. Please, come for this most inspiring experience of confluence of music, arts and dance.
Bharat Natyam is a classical dance form from the South India. The dance is usually accompanied by classical Carnatic music. It dates back thousands of years. Bharat Natyam is the manifestation of the ancient idea of the celebration of the eternal universe through the celebration of the beauty of the material body. Bharat Natyam technique includes many elements including elaborate neck and eye movements.
The workshop will include a beautiful demonstration performance by Chamu.
Admission: suggested donation £5, children under 12 years go free.
