Apparition From The Past
sometimes our dreams are not good,
very seldom are they even understood,
they leave a darkness in our mind,
or tell us of a certain time,
and our hearts are filled with a commotion,
that awakens sincere emotions,
and so it is and so it shall be,
that from the womb of life and death,
I am the shadow of the land,
an apparition from the past.
strong and serious dreams within,
such wicked notions upon the wind,
bringing down a heavy rain,
and your smile carries dreadful pain,
and your heart has lied,
your suffering you hide,
and so it is and so it shall be,
that from the womb of life and death,
I am the shadow of the land,
an apparition from the past.
with the night and day,
your dreams will fade away,
because you forget the time,
your way you cannot find,
your people you cannot see,
your ancestors you will never be,
and so it is and so it shall be,
that from the womb of life and death,
I am the shadow of the land,
an apparition from the past.
there is no color to your skin,
your soul is full of sin,
your intelligence has no insight,
and your heart is pure white,
you have no cultural condition,
you have lost all your tradition,
and so it is and so it shall be
that from the womb of life and death
I am the shadow of the land
an apparition from the past.
in reality your death will be right,
because you chose to be so white,
you wanted to take a chance,
to take a non-Indian stance,
that filled your heart with greed,
and you have lost your ancestral seed,
and so it is and so it shall be forever,
that from the ancestral womb of life and death
I am and will be forever the shadow of the land
an apparition from the past,
and forever my life will last.

No Solution
Of all my relations,
The wolf, deer and bear,
Once were every where,
Now dead by corporate pollution
Man provides no solution.
Of all my relations,
The eagle, hawk and raven,
No longer have a safe haven.
All destroyed by corporate pollution
Man provides no solution.
Of all my relations,
The plants and trees,
Infected by a human disease.
Wiped-out by corporate pollution,
Man provides no solution.
Of all my relations,
The river’s lakes and streams,
Becoming toxic waste springs.
Contaminated by corporate pollution,
Man provides no solution.
To all my relations,
The government has no fear,
Our voices they can not hear.
The government allows pollution,
And no man will ever provide a solution.
To all my relations,
So many will claim to protest,
But I and my relations they really detest.
Dollars and cents for pollution,
American will never provide a solution.
So to all my relations,
Know that Home on the range,
Will soon become so very strange,
No trees, river’s, Indian or my relations,
We will become simple characterization,
For future representation.

Our Indian Youth Will Strive!
As the blowing wind sweeps over the land,
Brushing faintly the dust and sand,
Inflaming ancestral paths,
Maintaining traces of a darken past,
Immortalizing heritage and customs in name,
Legacy of warriors carrying the torch of fame.
And our Indian youth will strive,
To keep their ancestral Indian world alive!
Brothers and sisters wear no shame,
For you will receive an ancestral name.
Stand tall and walk with pride,
And know the honor deep inside.
For the sovereign nations will live long,
And our youth will be the strength of a new dawn
And our Indian youth will strive,
To keep their ancestral Indian world alive!
Children of tomorrow,
Carry no unclear sorrow,
Reach into historic time,
Perceive your ancestors mind.
Find a sincere resolution,
That will enhance a righteous solution.
And our Indian youth will strive,
To keep their ancestral Indian world alive!
Gangs, drugs and alcohol,
Not within our nations protocol.
Understand your inner fears,
And ignore those corrupt peers.
Don’t give weakness a chance,
For your nation you must enhance.
And our Indian youth will strive,
To keep their ancestral Indian world alive!
So Indian youth of the sovereign Nation,
Come and know all of your relation,
And feel the majestic ancestral sensation!
For our Indian will indeed strive,
To forever keep the traditional Indian world alive!

I am an Image of the Past
With sincere heartfelt emotions,
I adhere to controlled suitable notions.
But my spirit is full of unrest,
I have a soul with unsettled stress.
My honor a solitude of hate,
While my history becomes a darken fate.
For with my people I will always talk,
With my ancestor’s I desire to walk,
For time immemorial, I am an image of the past.
Did the human world fail me,
Or did the equality I not see?
Where in life do I take a stand,
To be a just and noble Indian man?
So in my solitude do I run and hide,
To escape those holy one’s who lied?
For with my people I will always talk,
With my ancestor’s I desire to walk,
For time immemorial, I am an image of the past.
My time for passion comes late,
I wander in a void of sincere hate.
My mind recognizes racial corruption,
Society deals bias reverence disruption.
I stand within a dark isolation,
My reasoning having no valued relation.
For with my people I will always talk,
With my ancestor’s I desire to walk,
For time immemorial, I am an image of the past.
Society called me a waste of time,
So a people tore at my mind.
My good natured got ripped apart,
While individuals blacken my heart.
My hate has become a fiery flame,
And a Christian called me a stupid Indian by name.
So with my people I prefer to talk,
With my ancestor’s I prefer to walk,
But for time immemorial, I will always be an image of the past,
A mortal offering unto my ancestral blood line.
I am but a humble Indian man!
In solitude I stand!

Ancestral Pride
Walking by the moonlight,
Unified hearts held tight.
Man and woman side by side,
A relationship of ancestral pride.
Eyes holding a passionate look,
While standing beside a calm brook.
Man and woman side by side,
A relationship of ancestral pride.
They hold each other awhile,
And each develops a warm smile.
Man and woman side by side,
A relationship of ancestral pride.
Together, hand in hand,
They mildly guide over the land,
For they are indeed,
The spirit of the people,
A man and woman side by side,
A unity of ancestral pride.
