Dear Friends

I came across these YouTube videos that I found very helpful in 'understanding ' and 'appreciating' raaga-based Indian classical music. The music was Hindusthani , whose slow pace actually helped me to track the notes more closely.

A plea to music teachers and musicians in this group: PLEASE DO THIS FOR CARNATIC MUSIC! I and many others will be grateful for your services.

Regards and Enjoy

Prabhakar

Thank you Prabhakar garu,
I came across a site ragasurabhi.com which I liked a lot. It deals with Carnatic music and gives arohana, avarohana, signature and a few short examples for each raga. It is useful for beginners like me. I don't know musical accuracy though. Pl give it a try and see if you like it. If you like it, there's some version of it on YouTube too.
Best regards,
Vasant
