Idols of Thyagaraja

Hello All:

Long time ago, I formed this email discussion group (Karma group = Karnatic Music Appreciation group), but perhaps due to its poor karma, it did not live well so far. So, I am not sure whether it is still active or not. If it is, some of you may get a double message, please ignore one (not both, please!).

Anyhow, someone was asking if and how one can buy a replica of the idols that Thyagaraja worshipped. Any ideas? Perhaps some stores in Thiruvayur/Thanjavur/Chennai may be selling them?

(You may be asking yourselves and anting to ask me what this question has to do with Karnatic Music Appreciation. All I can say is that it is a good question -:)).
