Title:            Data Analyst

Location:       Chandler, AZ

Position:        W2 (no C2C)
Duration:       18 months (maximum duration is 24 months)

Start date:     ASAP

 

 

Description: This position exists to work with business and technology partners to support the Regulatory Data Repository (RDR) data needs. This role includes gathering data requirements from the LOB and technical users as well as conduct data analysis and research and data modeling. This person can independently partner with Business Analyst to gather and document data requirements for data warehouse projects. Independently analyze, research and profile data related to business requirements. Independently works closely with data modelers and data analysts doing feasibility work and facilitate the transition from requirements to design including capturing of data consumption requirements and managing traceability.

Minimum Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in gathering data requirements for a large, enterprise data warehouse and all associated documentation

• 3+ years of experience in data warehousing SDLC (requirements, analysis, design, modeling/mapping, semantic development, ETL, testing, BI solutions)

• Good communication skills both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and in teams (and work with tech and non-tech staff)

• Excellent with planning and facilitating requirements sessions with medium to large groups of people.

• Experience making sure that data movement from Source to Target is accurate as per business logic (Source and Target may be a database, flat files or xml files)

• Experience with Data Quality, Data Reconciliation and Data Profiling validation processes

• Need to write complex SQL queries to account for the accurate data movement, research of data and be able to explain variances or anomalies

• Good knowledge of Business Process Modeling

• Experience working on agile teams

• Ability to create design specifications artifacts such as Source to Target Mapping documents, functional specifications documents for proper ETL implementation

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in Financial Services and Banking sector

• Familiarity with Regulatory Reporting for Financial Services

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, other Engineering disciplines or similar training/experience.

• Experience with Teradata SQL

• Experience with Oracle SQL
