HI Guys,

it is time to think about our next GTUG meeting. Of course we need
some speakers for it.
So who wants to show his latest project or has generally something to
present?

About the time and place I was thinking about the 29th of July or 12th
of August, again in the Badisch Brauhaus, but that heavily depends on
whether we get enough speakers (at least two) - so please leave a
message.

Best,
Marcus

Does anyone have interest in Commercial Open Source BI solution called
Palo (www.jedox.com)? I could say a few words about it.

Hi,

I was at DroidCamp Stuttgart 2010 las month, and could talk about it
and about Android (general and coding).
And there are still some words missing about the Chrome Extension
Battle that I wanted to talk about at the last GTUG meeting already
(but had not time)

Sure, I think BI is very interessting. Do you also use some Google
Technology in Palo? This would be nice.

sure Heiko, we are all waiting for your chrome extension information
and android sounds nice too. How much time would you need? I was
thinking about both topics in one slot.

is there anyone probably who has played around with Go? That sounds
like an interessting topic too.

Ask Moritz Haarmann (@derwildemomo).
I would als recommend to use more channels (Twitter, Xing group), since
I don't think everybody reads this list...

I'm evaluating Docs integration at the moment. I can show some
interaction with Google Spreadsheets. Our web frontend is far more
advanced and probably more interesting to show. I can demo that too.

HI Markus,

you're right I am way to lazy with Twitter. It's just that I never use
it and of course expect anyone to read our nice forum :) Have
contacted Moritz, hope he has time. Thanks for the hint.

Best,
Marcus

If you can put it all all in one talk (around 45min) that would be
great, if not it would be nice if you can focus on the docs
integration. Just out of curiosity: What have you used to realize the
web frontend? Best, Marcus

Since you never use it, you probably haven't seen his twitter reply yet. :)

Hey there!

thanks for approaching me concerning google go, let's elaborate on
what i could talk about, and what i'd like to talk about.

first of all, go is still amazingly amazing, but i haven't had a
chance to play with it lately, so to hold a presentation that is
backed by some real knowledge, i'd need some time to get back into it.
so yes, i could, but tell me now if you want me to.

second interesting topic is the new android froyo features, especially
cloud 2 device messaging and device management apis. i toyed around
with both of those, they are really exciting and certainly worth a
talk.

third choice is the talk i held with @elektrojunge at the javaforum,
but i'm afraid it's a bit too superficial for nerds like us :-)

good night!

Hi Moritz,

it's great to know that already someone has played with Go - I am very
curious to hear some more details about it.
As Heiko already plans to talk about Android I would prefer you
talking about Go this time, but of course you
are more then invited to talk about Android at one of our next
meetings. Is that ok for you?

Best,
Marcus

Hi Moritz, Heiko & Vladislav,

thank you guys for your interest in giving a talk at our next meeting.
For the date we have two options: 29th of July or 12th of August. We
usually start at 19h. Which date suits you guys best?

Best,
Marcus

the latter would be my preference :-)

29. would be better here, but then again I can't make it by 19:00 in
both cases. I guess we can move my slot to the end of meeting.

Hi Moritz, Hi Vladislav,

ok you guys, there we have a problem - so much about preference :).
Can one of you absolutely not make it on of the the two dates?
Vladislav, getting a slot to the end of the meeting is not a problem.
If we can't agree I would prefer the later option in August - as there
will be more time to invite the people.

Best,

Marcus

Let's not postpone things (they tend not to happen at all). Let's set
some fix date. I'll try to align to you guys.

Hi,

as long as I'm able to attend at this date: yes, the schedule is fine:
Maybe a customer orders a workshop on this date, it's not sure yet.
I'll keep you informed.

Hi List, Hi Marcus,

since I'm just an attendee my approval of the schedule doesn't really makes any sense – nonetheless – here you have it. ;)

I'm looking forward to the next GTUG meeting, looks like we got some great topics here!
Vladislav: Am I correct that you use ExtGWT in Palo? (Or is it vanilla ExtJS?) anyways, since I'm a Sencha-Fanboy, I would love to here some technical insights on the frontend side of Palo.

/ Daniel
