Dear all,

Asalaamu alaykum warahmatulLah,

We pray you this email reaches you in the best of states. Below are details of a two day course on the subject of Inheritance Law, this course will take place over the winter break insha'Allah.

Islamic Inheritance Law

It is obligatory to divide the wealth a dead person leaves behind according to the laws of Allah the Exalted. This short course will provide the basic knowledge required to calculate the division of inheritance portions accurately according to Islamic guidelines. The course will be interactive and both lessons include exercises to put theory into practice by giving different scenarios and allowing students to calculate how the inheritance is divided.

By the end of the course a good student would be expected to be able to deal with all common inheritance scenarios insha-Allah. This short course is suitable for the beginner and good revision for those who have studied the subject before.

The course will be based on the Arabic legal text called Sharh al-Rahabiyya by Sibt al-Mardini, although the teaching will be entirely in English. Course material will be provided.
